The Infrastructure Group Manager's role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities Strategy & Planning • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management. • Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team. • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts. • Establish service level agreements with business units. Acquisition & Deployment • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts. • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services. • Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures. Position Requirements Knowledge & Experience • Academic education in IT or Computer Science. • Prior experience as a Infrastructure / IT manager (preferred Director / VP level), chief system architect or CIO. • At least 10 years prior experience in Information Technologies and Systems. • 5+ years of experience managing IT global teams of at list 40 employees. Ability to lead integration and deployment projects independently. Strong preference to software companies operating in hosted environments, SaaS/IaaS. • Wide understanding of information technologies, familiar with recent innovations and trends in operating systems (UNIX), virtualization and clouds, hardware, databases, networking, security, storage and backup solution. • Experience in evaluation, testing and selection of 3rd-party solutions and technologies, as well as employing external service providers and consultants. • Strong interpersonal, leadership and representation skills. • Highly motivated, proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver, and ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines. • Very good English (written and spoken). • Willing to International travels frequently.
